AVA GEYER is an award-winning playwright. She is a recipient of Audible Theatre’s Emerging Writers Fund ("Feeding Frenzy" slated for fall ‘26 release, directed by Tony-nominee Anne Kauffman). She’s developed plays with Rattlestick Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Alliance Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre and White Horse Theater. Her plays include Death Cleaning (developed with Tony-nominee John Ellison Conlee), Monster (Kendeda Award finalist), Big Splash (Visionary Award) and B-Storm (published by Concord Theatricals).
She generally writes dark-funny stuff about the collision of capitalism and therapy-speak. She’s written sci-fi about healing from trauma, workplace satires about the pharma industry, psych-horror about single parents.
Ava is an Artist Advocate for Healing TREE, a mental health nonprofit promoting access to trauma-informed therapy. MFA: UC San Diego '19. BA: Princeton University '15.
